Organised the bringing into operation of complex hardware and signal processing equipment on site and in laboratory for state-of-the-art radio telescope equipment. Trained operators.
Particle Accelerators
Massachusetts USA and Belgium
Led the development of US$20 million equipment for Harvard University (MGH). Managed schedule, budget and technical aspects of programme. Led development / construction team of approx 45 persons for design and construction of major components in Belgium and General Atomics (GA) in San Diego. Co-ordinated activities in Europe, and the east and west coasts of the US, also led building interface team in Boston.

Developed new equipment with an unprecedented specification and an extremely aggressive schedule. Led development / construction team of approx. 10 persons. Met extreme technical and schedule challenge. Overwhelming success – a US$ 1 million schedule performance bonus was awarded to IBA by client. Product became best seller; approx US$ 40 million’s worth sold.
